New Yehey! Look
The Philippines most popular search engine, Yehey!, is sporting a new (and in my opinion a much better one) look. It now reminds me of Bing or Google, but more of the former.
As mentioned by Yehey! itself, the company is going back to its roots and they are abandoning their portal look to a simpler, and more focused search engine interface.
I believe that it’s about time that the company started focusing on just one major aspect of their business and build everything else around it.

Is Freelance Writing Right for You?
Do you think you can succeed as a freelancer? They say practically every career or job nowadays can be done as a freelancer especially if you are a programmer, a writer, designer, accountant, and graphic artist. You can do your job through telecommuting.
But as good as it may sound at first, it’s really not that easy being your own boss and all. There are a number of factors that you should consider first before you take that big plunge into freelancing.
Here is a short article that I wrote whether freelancing is the best option for anybody.
Follow me kid…
Lolcats never cease to make me smile and also laugh when the joke’s a really cool one. But this one photo made me feel warm inside. Fuzzy and warm, perfect for Lolcats.

I don’t know about me having sky-high ambitions… I mean, I do have ambitions, of course, but they are pretty much simple ones, all involving my family.

You Are Ethical and Generous |
![]() You are driven to be the best. You have sky high ambitions and standards. People may think that you are hard on them, but you are the hardest on yourself. You may be hard working, but you’re not selfish. You work hard because you want the world to be a better place. |
Philippine Internet Users to Reach 30 Million
A recent study as reported in the Phil. Daily Inquirer said that the number of Internet users in the country will reach 30 million by the year 2012. Now how big is our current population? 80 million? That is already amazing to have that much percentage of the populace being online.
But as the report said, the numbers are just for the metropolitan or urban areas. As expected, the countryside is still very far from connecting to the Internet in a much bigger scale. I believe more infrastrcture must be built in the rural areas to bring the power of the World Wide Web closer to the other millions of Filipinos.
Now does that mean there will be more Filipinos using Facebook, Twitter or playing online games? I sure hope so.
More Social Networking, Less Porn

Hitwise, a web search marketing and consulting firm, has stated that the results of their recent web search analysis has shown an unexpected shift.
Social networking sites has overtaken ‘porn’ as among the most searched terms.
Quite interesting, don’t you think? But does it mean that people are getting less interested in porn and we just want to have a social, albeit online, life?
I don’t think so. Porn is just a few clicks away. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the most bookmarked sites are porn sites. Besides, porn is an old item. Most people are just getting exposed to the wonders of social networking that newcomers to this online phenomenon are making the searches.
Anyway, this is a great thing for sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, and the rest.
