This is what I regard as real voices, singing real music beautifully.

I am a child of 80′s and I can say I have high respect to these artists who not only shared their talent to us, but also touched our hearts in their own simple ways.

I can see nothing but pure respect and friendship from Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston

Nelson Mandela Turns 92

I admire only a handful of politicians and world leaders combined, and Nelson Mandela is at the top of my list for those who are still alive. Today he is celebrating his 92nd birthday. I was actually surprised to find out he’s already at that age. I had thought that he was at least 20 years younger.

Here’s a story by The Vancouver Sun about Mandela’s birthday

Charice Sings the National Anthem

Charice Pempengco, in my opinion and that of thousands of others, beautifully and perfectly sung our national anthem at Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s inauguration.

I just wish that she would be the one to sing the national anthem in Manny Pacquiao’s next fight.

:)

Mostly Mayweather

Mayweather vs. Mosley

I only caught a few of the last rounds of yesterday’s big boxing fight, Mayweather vs. Mosley. And this is all I can say about it…

It was Mosley…er….mostly Mayweather.

:)

Mosley was basically in defense the last couple of rounds, sometimes there was not even a defense at all. You could see both his gloves down, putting up what I would call a pseudo-defense. All in all, although the fight started promising, it was really a Mayweather show.

Now it’s time for a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather match. Nothing else.

I’m Fed Up With Nanay Dionisia

She may be the mom of our champion but to see her every single day on TV commercials is already too much. Let’s admit it. There’s a reason why commercial models are pretty. Because they are good to look at, plus they speak well. I don’t understand the language she is using, but that’s not what I’m criticizing. It’s her voice which is verging on the point of irritating.

I was a Magnolia fan. I said was because they have lost me when they got Nanay Dionisia as an endorser. Magnolia is one of the products that can be considered as classics (just think about the glass containers Magnolia milk and Chocolait used to be contained in) but the classic feel was lost with these recent TV ads.

For me, Nanay Dionisia has lost that aura of novelty that made her a hit in the beginning. Now she’s just plain irritating.
