Pink Camera Is The Way To Go, Girls :)

Posted on the May 13th, 2010 under Gadgets by admin

With the rise of emo and anything that seems dark, there is still a huge following of the PowerPuff-type of colors. Take for example a pink camera, which is quite a novelty gadget to have (because of its color) when we see beautiful girls carrying one with them.

What makes a pink digital camera a great buy? Well, if you are a girl who has a very sweet and bubbly image, pink is your color. While people may prove me wrong on this choice, this is however just my opinion. I mean, if you’re a sweet girl you can never go wrong picking out pink-colored stuff. From your bag to your earrings to your hanky, the color pink will shout out to the world and make people notice. That’s because pink is beautiful.

Yahoo! Mail Image Bothered Me…

Posted on the May 12th, 2010 under Controversy by admin

You can call me a pervert if you want, but this image of Yahoo! Mail really bothers me…

I can’t stop imagining where grandma’s arm or hand is reaching to. And that blank look on the guy’s face really leads to a lot of interpretations.

Mountain Dew and Caffeine

Posted on the May 10th, 2010 under food by admin

A while back, I have always been surprised to realize that Mountain Dew is a great energy drink, especially when I needed to stay awake at very late hours of the night. That is even though the drink is not advertised or marketed as an energy drink. And then I’ve read in a website that Mountain Dew contains at least 50 mg of caffeine.

That’s about a cup of regular coffee. So that’s why it keeps me awake and alert. Often it works even better than most energy drinks I’ve tried.

And it tastes even better. I’ve always preferred the sweet, lime-flavored drink. I also like its green packaging. Nowadays, whenever I needed to stay awake, I always grab a bottle of Mountain Dew. However, when there’s no Dew in sight, I just go back to my regular cup of coffee.

Iron Man 2: Not Quite To My Expectations

Posted on the May 7th, 2010 under Movies by admin

Iron Man 2

Robots against robots. Or at least droids against men in metal battle gear. That alone is a great recipe for a summer blockbuster movie. And it is, as in the case of Iron Man 2.

However, when I left the moviehouse, something in me was telling me that I was disappointed. That I was expecting more. More action? Maybe, especially if they covered a greater area, not just the Stark Expo. Actually, they seem to have fought only in a greenhouse.

A more sinister villain. Mickey Rourke’s character was not too menacing in my opinion. I was looking for somene, or something that is bigger, badder, and scarier.

The only great thing in the movie was the appearance of War Machine and the two of them fighting the droids.

I’ve read that there will be a third installment. I hope Jon Favreau and the rest of the production team can come up with a great finale to this great comic book and movie franchise.

I Hear Thunder

…and I see the skies going dimmer. Could this mean it will rain? It must be. It should.

It seems that I’m hallucinating because who wouldn’t after all these weeks of intense heat and no rain, I would gladly participate even in a rain dance just to cool down these afternoons. And it has been extremely hot that right now I’m using two electric fans just to cool me down.

“Rain, rain go away, come again another day, little Johnny wants to play…” as a small child I used to love singing that nursery rhyme during the rainy season. But not today. I would change that lyrics to:

“Rain, rain come today, stay awhile for a few days, little MJ wants to chill.”

:) That last word sure didn’t rhyme. But I would love for a little rain today.

Mostly Mayweather

Mayweather vs. Mosley

I only caught a few of the last rounds of yesterday’s big boxing fight, Mayweather vs. Mosley. And this is all I can say about it…

It was Mosley…er….mostly Mayweather.

:)

Mosley was basically in defense the last couple of rounds, sometimes there was not even a defense at all. You could see both his gloves down, putting up what I would call a pseudo-defense. All in all, although the fight started promising, it was really a Mayweather show.

Now it’s time for a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather match. Nothing else.

Why Manny Pacquiao is Great

Posted on the January 2nd, 2010 under Uncategorized by admin

Manny PacquiaoThere are so many things that make Manny Pacquiao the luckiest person in this country. Here are some reasons as to why:

1. He has two TV shows…
…even though he has not been seen in those shows for a long time. “Show Me The Manny” and “Pinoy Records”. Only the Pambansang Kamao can do that.

2. He can make movies…
…even though he can’t act. It’s not that he has accent, that has very little to do about acting. He just can’t act. Period.

3. He has girls surround him everywhere he go…
…strip away his fame and money, and all that will be left by his side is his loving wife Jinkee. (having such a wife already makes him the luckiest on this planet)

4. He is running for congressman, which is a local position…
…and yet he his showing ads on national TV.

5. He earns his wealth through a blood sport…
…considering that this is a Catholic country that ‘tries’ to be ethical, humane, and peace-loving nation. One of the biggest ironies I have ever seen.

Memory Foam Pillow

Posted on the December 30th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

My back’s been aching for quite some time now. Perhaps it is because of the bed that I am sleeping in. I’ve longed been wanting to have a memory foam pillow but I couldn’t find one here in our area.

I have read good reviews about it and how it can alleviate neck and back pains. I think it uses a revolutionary kind of foam that ‘remembers’ the way your body shapes the foam so each time you sleep, your head and neck are always well supported.

She Has a New Blog

Posted on the December 29th, 2009 under Blogging by admin

My wife is starting a new blog since she got the domain name for her own name: Nhil Ocampo.

She is still planning what topics she would be blogging about, but for the meantime, she will be writing about almost anything that catches her fancy.

I hope she will be able to maintain this new blog and nurture it into something that is wonderful. :)
