The flood water almost reached our living room. It was already that high and I couldn’t believe it was happening. Thoughts of Ondoy were flashing before my eyes and I was praying, “God, please… not again.”

Good thing the flood had receded back to the streets when the rains stopped about an hour ago. But what worries me is that it is starting to rain again and it’s getting stronger by the minute.

I don’t want to lift all our stuff again on top of our tables and including our bed. Ondoy proved that was useless but a flood that could reach our living room, I certainly do not want that too.

Most Useful Cellphone Feature…In My Opinion

I only have one cellphone and it’s not the latest, feature-rich model. It’s actually this one:

Now why do I stick with this unit? It’s because it’s cheap, it will not hurt my feelings much should it get lost or stolen, and it emits a very useful beam of light. Yes, it’s flashlight is the one thing why I love this phone.

I don’t need a camera or an mp3 player included in my cellphone. I have a separate gadget for taking pictures and listening to music, which I believe is the more sensible way to do it.

Nelson Mandela Turns 92

I admire only a handful of politicians and world leaders combined, and Nelson Mandela is at the top of my list for those who are still alive. Today he is celebrating his 92nd birthday. I was actually surprised to find out he’s already at that age. I had thought that he was at least 20 years younger.

Here’s a story by The Vancouver Sun about Mandela’s birthday

Charice Sings the National Anthem

Charice Pempengco, in my opinion and that of thousands of others, beautifully and perfectly sung our national anthem at Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s inauguration.

I just wish that she would be the one to sing the national anthem in Manny Pacquiao’s next fight.
