Birthday Cheesecake

What is a birthday cheesecake? It’s what people within the food service industry call a cheesecake (or any food item) that will be expiring on that day. Of course it doesn’t really mean that the food would be inedible. It’s just that its food quality will go down a bit from that point on.

I’m just not sure why it’s called birthday when such an event actually marks the birth of something. :)

Second Hand Computer

I bought a second-hand computer the other day. It’s actually just a CPU and it has Pentium 4 with 512mb of RAM. Not quite the latest and greatest when it comes to computing power, but it gets the j0b done for me.

I mean, I don’t use too much resources whenever I open my PC. It’s usually just a web browser and a word processor that I always turn on. Seldom do I use of Photoshop and even games. So I don’t really need a powerful machine just to help me get through the day.

That is something that most people should know. Choosing just the right specs for their computing purposes. Most computers and softwares today are too bloated, that you only use a very small portion of them in your daily life. You don’t need a powerful PC just to surf the net or even a full-blown word processor if all you do is write just a couple of letters or articles that are 500 words at the most.

I sincerely hope that computer and software manufacturers give us consumers an option of buying the right product for our specific needs. There’s no need to always get the most powerful thing they have.
