May.5,2010…and I see the skies going dimmer. Could this mean it will rain? It must be. It should.
It seems that I’m hallucinating because who wouldn’t after all these weeks of intense heat and no rain, I would gladly participate even in a rain dance just to cool down these afternoons. And it has been extremely hot that right now I’m using two electric fans just to cool me down.
“Rain, rain go away, come again another day, little Johnny wants to play…” as a small child I used to love singing that nursery rhyme during the rainy season. But not today. I would change that lyrics to:
“Rain, rain come today, stay awhile for a few days, little MJ wants to chill.”
That last word sure didn’t rhyme. But I would love for a little rain today.
