Sun At Last!

Posted on the September 10th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

The rains have finally stopped. I hope this is for real. It has been raining almost non-stop for the past three days.

Don’t get me wrong. I love rain. It’s just that I couldn’t get on with my laundry because of it. I don’t have a dry spinner here at home so my clothes are still wet hanging at the makeshift clothesline in the garage. And I need the sun. Why? Because I know for a fact that my clothes will not smell as good if it’s not dried by the sun.

So for now, I hope the rain will go away for a few days and just let the sun shine in. I need new clean and dry clothes and I need them right now.

Some People Just Have to Be Right… All of the Time

Posted on the September 9th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

I’m pretty sure you have met that kind of person, someone who thinks he is always right no matter if he’s been proven wrong.

In my work history, I have encountered colleagues who are like that. They are hard to please and it’s doubly hard to win an argument over them. It doesn’t matter if your argument is right, to them, they are always right.

Geez.

I Want a Honda City, Too!

Posted on the September 8th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

I mentioned in an earlier post that me and my girlfriend are looking to buy a second-hand car. Out initial choice is a Toyota Vios, but a few days ago as we were walking outside, this baby came passing by:

honda city

Now we are also considering the 2004 version of the Honda City. I read in a car forum that the City is roomier than the Vios, if you compare both 2004 models. I have ridden a Vios before and of course it’s not as spacious as a regular sedan but it has a good enough space in my opinion.

On the City, on the other hand, I don’t know because I haven’t had the chance to ride one.

I’m Not Obsessive

Posted on the September 8th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

Well, this is true. The survey says I’m only about 28% obsessive. Of what? That I’m not really sure. I can’t pinpoint anything that really can be categorized as an obsession.

You Are 28% Obsessive

You tend to have a few obsessive thoughts, but you generally have them under control.
Sometimes your worries keep you up at night, though they usually don’t interfere with your life.

Sex Can Cause a Headache?

Posted on the September 7th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

Apparently it does, as well as other things that can cause a headache.

I know what can cause me a headache. And here are a few of them:

1. loud noise

2. toothache!

3. rush deadlines

4. people who don’t make any sense

5. long lines, especially at the bank

How about you? What can cause you a headache?

I’m Fed Up With Nanay Dionisia

Posted on the September 7th, 2009 under Famous People by admin

She may be the mom of our champion but to see her every single day on TV commercials is already too much. Let’s admit it. There’s a reason why commercial models are pretty. Because they are good to look at, plus they speak well. I don’t understand the language she is using, but that’s not what I’m criticizing. It’s her voice which is verging on the point of irritating.

I was a Magnolia fan. I said was because they have lost me when they got Nanay Dionisia as an endorser. Magnolia is one of the products that can be considered as classics (just think about the glass containers Magnolia milk and Chocolait used to be contained in) but the classic feel was lost with these recent TV ads.

For me, Nanay Dionisia has lost that aura of novelty that made her a hit in the beginning. Now she’s just plain irritating.

Too Much Rain Lately

Posted on the September 7th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

It has been raining very frequently. Usually I don’t complain about the rain because I love it. The downpour, whether just light or heavy, relaxes me and actually lulls me to sleep. It’s during a rain that I actually get a very good sleep.

But that the thing is I need to get some of my clothes dry. It takes forever for a washed clothe to dry up when it has been continuously raining. I need the sun and I need it right now!  :)

I’m being impossible here. But anybody who has ever done his own laundry knows that clothes smell and feels so much better when it is dried by the natural warm rays of the sun. Just hanging it indoors will not not give that fresh feel and smell of it. And might even smell bad especially if you neglect to wash it properly.

Man, I want the rains to stop and for the sun to show up. I only need a few hours of sunshine for my clothes.

Bailey, Play Dead

Posted on the September 6th, 2009 under Fun Acts,Media by admin

That’s one of the funniest lines I’ve heard of any animal trick. Funny and also quite unexpected. The most that I’ve seen of a dog playing dead is just it lying down, belly up, and paws up in the air. That’s it. But Bailey here, now she’s really something.

Imagine a dog playing dead right in the arms of its master? You’ve got to see the video for yourself. I’m sure you’ll laugh hard too, just like David Letterman did.

Darn! I Woke Up Late

Posted on the September 6th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

Don’t you just hate it when you set an alarm and then you just drowsily shut it off then went straight back to sleep? That’s what happened to me today.

I was supposed to wake up 3 hours ago because I have to finish a certain task. But no, I had to do exactly what I described above and went back to bed. If there’s any consolation to it, at least I got a very much needed rest.

But still I don’t like it when I do that. It has happened to me quite a number of times before. I guess what I should do next is to set up two alarms to make sure that I really wake up and get off the bed.

Will this work? Well, I’ve got to give it a go for me to find out.
