It Will Be the Start of the ‘Ber Months

Posted on the August 31st, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

In a few hours, it will be the first day of the ‘Ber months. That only sends one big signal to me: Christmas is just around the corner!

:D

I love the ‘Ber months because they remind me what it was like to be a child who was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Christmas, of all the gifts under the tree, and of the happy (and also sad) Christmas songs that I usually get to hear only a few times in a year.

Is Christmas just for kids? I beg to disagree. Well, maybe that’s right, because if you love Christmas even way into your adulthood, that can only mean you are still a child at heart. I do love Christmas so that means I am a kid still!

Lolcats never cease to make me smile and also laugh when the joke’s a really cool one. But this one photo made me feel warm inside. Fuzzy and warm, perfect for Lolcats.

I don’t know about me having sky-high ambitions… I mean, I do have ambitions, of course, but they are pretty much simple ones, all involving my family.

:)

You Are Ethical and Generous

You are driven to be the best. You have sky high ambitions and standards.
People may think that you are hard on them, but you are the hardest on yourself.

You may be hard working, but you’re not selfish. You work hard because you want the world to be a better place.
You give until it hurts and then still keep giving. Very few people appreciate all that you do.

My Mom Liked Our House

Posted on the August 30th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

My mom and aunt visited the house where I am living and where Nhil and I will be starting our own family. I could see in their eyes that they liked what they saw. I couldn’t be more happier.

They saw and was amazed by the new bed which Nhil’s mom bought for us. Actually, she had it made by a friend of hers in Laguna, a furniture maker and a damn good one I could tell.  :)

It was all going ok till my mom opened my refrigerator and saw an opened can of corned beef. She sort of scolded me for leaving that can inside the ref. She said I could get food poisoning from that and I should have just removed its content and placed in a plastic ware or something, just don’t leave an opened can inside the ref.

I said I’ll keep that in mind and so I threw it in the trash can.

All in all, it was a very pleasant visit. I just hope they had stayed for a bit longer.

My Triond Article – Getting Rid of Fleas Using Vinegar

Posted on the August 30th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

I write for Triond, although not in a very regular basis. Perhaps, one article every 3 months? :)

I know, that’s not the way to get the full benefits of joining a content creation, profit-sharing community. But I am slowly changing my attitude to it by planning to writer articles in a more regular frequency.

Anyway, I believe the first article I ever wrote there is one on how to get rid of fleas using vinegar. Why did I choose that topic? I guess it’s because I was seriously contemplating of getting a dog then, but it never pushed through.

You can proceed to read that article. Vinegar can really help your dog put fleas at bay. There’s no harm in trying, as they always say.

I Have So Much Joy

Posted on the August 30th, 2009 under Blogging by admin

I do would like to think that I have so much joy in my life… but to realize that, I must first get all of the stressful things out of my life. They can ruin a person, I tell you.

You Are Joyful

You have quite a bit of joy in your life. Sometimes you just stop and realize how beautiful your life is.
You know those moments where everything is peaceful and perfect? Well, you have a few of those – and you could use more of them.

Try to get rid of as much stress and noise as possible in your life. True joy comes from true simplicity.
Also, try to develop an attitude of gratitude in your life. It’s a lot easier to be joyful when you’re thankful.

Philippine Internet Users to Reach 30 Million

Posted on the August 27th, 2009 under Trends by admin

A recent study as reported in the Phil. Daily Inquirer said that the number of Internet users in the country will reach 30 million by the year 2012. Now how big is our current population? 80 million? That is already amazing to have that much percentage of the populace being online.

But as the report said, the numbers are just for the metropolitan or urban areas. As expected, the countryside is still very far from connecting to the Internet in a much bigger scale. I believe more infrastrcture must be built in the rural areas to bring the power of the World Wide Web closer to the other millions of Filipinos.

Now does that mean there will be more Filipinos using Facebook, Twitter or playing online games? I sure hope so.  :D

Awake for More than 24 Hours

Posted on the August 26th, 2009 under Uncategorized by admin

I’ve been awake for more than 24 hours already. This is the longest time that I’ve been awake and truth be told, I’m already feeling the effects.

1. My head feels very light.
2. I have trouble concentrating.
3. Even though my eyes are not droopy, I feel that my eyes would love to sleep right now.
4. My body feels heavy.
5. My heart beat is faster than normal.

These are already good enough signs to tell me that working for 24 hours straight is not good for me, or for anyone else for that matter.

I’ll go sleep now.

What’s John Stockton Up to Lately?

Posted on the August 26th, 2009 under Famous People by admin

I’m not sure what my basketball idol is currently doing. I’m talking about John Stockton, the NBA’s all-time leader in assists and steals.

When he retired a few years back, I was really saddened because he was the only player that I truly followed his career. I still know most of his career stats and how much I loved it every time the announcer says, “Stockton to Malone”. It was truly sweet.

I would love it if John would land a head coaching job in the NBA. Being one of the NBA’s greatest playmakers, I think he perfectly fits that role.

David Letterman and Ray Romano

Posted on the August 26th, 2009 under Famous People, Media by admin

I’m a big fan of David Letterman and his ‘The Late Show’. With Ray Romano, I’m just a bit familiar with the guy. But when I came across this YouTube video of them doing interview, I had a great fun time watching them both.
