With its 75 kilometers per hour wind strength and the seemingly unending rain that it had brought, tropical storm ‘Isang’ has caused the Department of Education to declare no classes today. They have taken into account the worsening flood situations all over Metro Manila.
DepEd even said that certain areas should have already automatically cancelled their classes, particularly Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela. These three are notoriously among the easily flooded locations in the Metro.
The department finally made this decision after they received an advisory from Pagasa.
Tropical storm ‘Isang’ was last spotted 210 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora.
